Sp20 wads.

Dec 18, 2019 · A change in hulls or wads makes a huge difference. I've tried some of the published loads but didn't have great results. Finally tried Rem plastic hulls (STS), SP20 wads and longshot. 20 gauge hulls. So I am a 20 Gauge, skeet shooting, reloader. I have always used old style 20 AA's. never wanted to change and very happy with results. Have seen some go 15 reloads before giving up. I reload on a Mec progressive. I use a popular load with Unique powder and Claybuster wads. No issues. I recently tried a batch of Remington STS hulls.

For 7/8 oz. loads in AA HS cases, you have 2 choices. The RXP Rem. wad,and the genuine Windjammer Blue wad. Either of these wads will fit and perform quite well. The "s" means stitched wad, that is the wad is connected at the top of the slits. Supposed to break apart upon firing. Its main purpose is to ease feeding of the wad on some reloading machines. For reload recipe purposes, it is the same wad.
